Wiiliam West Durant (1850-1934) owned this humidor, which features his initials, WWD, on the lid. A cigar made of bark is set diagonally below the lock.
Durant is considered the father of Adirondack rustic, having built the first great camp, Pine Knot, on Raquette Lake in 1877.
