Rustic Furniture : Nature's Art
Label:
Attributed to Fred Bass, this nicely-proportioned tall back settee was made for Aiden Lair in Minerva, where Theodore Roosevelt paused on his midnight ride to the presidency. Its unpeeled cedar has weathered, removing most of the bark. The seat was replaced sometime in the 1970s while in use at a family camp in Long Lake.
