"Little Red" was the first building at the Trudeau Sanitorium, erected in 1884. Sisters Alice and Mary Hunt shared the 14 by 18-foot building as they recovered from tuberculosis. This model was probably made by junior high school student Derwent Thompson of Freeport (Long Island) as an entry in a contest.
