"Little Red" was the first building Edward Livingston Trudeau built to house tuberculosis patients. In 1963 it was moved from the grounds of the sanitorium to the Trudeau Institute, which opened the following year in Saranac Lake. It's mission is to study the ways the human immune system fights infectious diseases.
