Label:
Gasoline was heavily rationed during the war. Households were issued an "A" sticker to display in the windshield of their car, entitling them to four gallons a week. A "B" sticker, issued to business owners, permitted the purchase of eight gallons per week. The additional placard indicates that the car's owner was also a Civilian Defense emergency worker.
