Adirondack Hermits : Experts in Social Distancing
Label:
Floyd Ferris Lobb (1816-1891) was known as "Old Lobb," the Hermit of Piseco Lake. A tailor by trade, he was a passionate fisherman and left the relative comforts of town life in Arietta for the then-remote shore of Piseco Lake in 1845. He once said he wanted to "get ahold of a trout that's too long to turn around in the lake."
