Rustic Furniture : Nature's Art
Label:
A former field engineer for IBM, Ken Heitz (1946-2013) came to the Adirondacks in 1971. He made his own furniture with wood from trees he cut near his home because he couldn't afford sawn wood. He found a ready clientele in summer residents, and working primarily with ironwood, yellow birch, white ash, developed a furniture line he sold out of his workshop in Indian Lake. This peeled pole chair features pegged motise and tenon construction.
