This sketch by Arpad G. Gerster, from a page in one of his sketchbooks, depicts a man rowing two ladies in a guideboat.

This sketch documents a trip that he took to Seventh Lake on August 13, 1892. Gerster also kept a diary, and wrote about his many trips to nearby lakes from his summer home, Camp Oteetiwi, on Raquette Lake. His diaries from the 1890s are in the museum's collection.
