Sports were popular with servicemen, keeping them fit while relieving boredom. Ping pong was a favorite, and the Bat Bak, which folds down for portability, can accomodate one or two players. It was manufactured by the Munro Athletic Products Company, Inc., in Boonville. After the war, the Bat Bak was marketed for general recreational use and "endorsed by army and navy sports and recreation officers."
