Label:
Alvah Dunning stands at left in front of Maple Lodge, a cabin at the Antlers in Raquette Lake. Charlie Bennett owned the property and helped to look after Dunning in his old age. Dunning's fame as an Adirondack guide and character made him an attraction for summer visitors who sometimes coaxed him into having his picture taken with them.
