Adirondack Gardens : Cultivating the North Country
Label:
In one acre of Adirondack meadow, artist Nan Wilson found a garden of native wildflowers. While spending a summer caring for her young children, she began a series of larger-than-life colored pencil portraits of the plants growing in her backyard.

White baneberry produces delicate white flowers in the spring but it is best known for its appearance in late summer. Its nickname, "doll's eyes," comes from the bunches of distinctive white berries with a purple spot produced in late summer.
