The first lawn mower was invented in England in 1830. The first mowers were use for sporting grounds and large park settings. It wasn't until the 1880s that small, easily maneuvered mowers were made and marketed to a wider public for use on home lawns.

This mower was used at the Collins family camp on Lake George.
