Transparent Views : The Adirondacks in Watercolor
Label:
Architect Robert H. Robertson (1849-1919) was well-acquainted with the Adirondacks, having designed Great Camps Santanoni and Nehasane. He was also a member of the Tahawus Club, and painted this view of the nearby McNaughton Cottage in the abandoned village of Adirondac. Robertson was on a fishing trip at Nehasane when he died of a heart attack.
