As the guideboat became more popular around 1900, social gatherings of people in boats became a fashionable activity. This postcard circa 1910-1930, shows a gathering of people with guideboats. They're rowing at the outlet of Lake Pleasant in Speculator, NY. At left, one man paddles a red canoe.
