The vegetable garden at Sagamore Lodge featured formal walkways, a circular flower bed at its center, and the camp's name spelled out in eight-foot letters along one end. Large greenhouses, not seen in this image, allowed camp gardeners to extend the growing season and cultivate delicate annuals they planted after the danger of frost had passed.
